Important Information
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO FARMERS – CURRENT REGULATIONS FOR COLLECTIONS OF OVER 48 MONTHS CATTLE
- The fallen stock survey which collected over 24 months cattle free of charge will cease to operate from January 12th 2009.
- After January 1st 2009 for 24-48 months and January 12th 2009 for over 48 months cattle the farmer will be responsible for all collection and disposal costs.
- Animals over 48 months will continue to be brain tested. The cost of this testing only will continue to be paid by the government. We are licensed by DEFRA as a TSE Sampling Site for this purpose.
- From the above dates we shall be able to collect all fallen stock from any of our traditional collection areas. No helplines to phone, just ring us direct.
- Please contact us for latest collection prices or consult your NFSCo. price list.
- Members of NFSCo. are no longer eligible for a subsidy off the cost of collection. However membership of NFSCo. is free of charge with just a monthly service charge of £1.25 per month (online) or £1.75 per month (mail) only if you have used the service within that calendar month which is probably cheaper than the cost of processing a cheque, stamp and envelope. NFSCo. provide an easy and efficient payment system and for these reasons it remains our preferred method of dealing with our customers.
- If you are not already a member and you wish to join, please contact the NFSCo. helpline on 08450-548888 for further details on how the scheme works.
- We welcome all customers from Staffordshire and the surrounding counties and always look forward to delivering the prompt and humane service that we have always prided ourselves on.
